Our Program

Safe Harbor is a resource center for persons who have or are now presently experiencing domestic violence. We respect clients’ rights to make their own decisions for what is best for themselves and their families. Our staff is here to provide education, support and referrals to other programs to help our clients to empower themselves to make choices for healthy relationships and healthy lifestyles.

• Individual child supportive counseling/case management
• Individual parenting counseling
• Safety Planning
• Court advocacy/accompaniment/Protective Order information
• Referrals to other community agencies

Shelter Description & Services

• Emergency, temporary safe house in quiet, safe & undisclosed location
• Open & staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for victims of domestic violence and their children
• Primary service area is Henrico County and surrounding Richmond area
• Individual adult supportive counseling/case management
• Weekly adult support group
• Individual child supportive counseling/case management
• Individual parenting counseling
• Safety Planning
• Court advocacy/accompaniment/Protective Order information
• Referrals to other community agencies
